Prior to joining CRC in 2025, Armando was part of FINRA’s Membership Application Program (MAP) Group for almost ten years – first as an Examiner in the MAP legacy ROOR team (i.e., Large/self-clearing/omnibus/correspondent clearing firms) and most recently as the Manager of the MAP Retail Crypto and Fintech team. Armando became a subject matter expert in the crypto and fintech areas and was appointed as the MAP Group liaison representative to FINRA’s Crypto Hub (an interdepartmental group created for the purpose of establishing internal resources, tools, and training on issues involving crypto assets). Prior to FINRA, Armando was in the private sector, where he practiced securities, intellectual property, and bankruptcy law in various settings
